Our History
15th West Kowloon Ranger Guide Service Unit was first established in 1992. It was originated from the 5th West Kowloon Ranger Guide Service Unit which was a school unit at St. Mary's Canossian College. Due to internal problems, the unit was unfortunately closed. The rangers then appealed to The Hong Kong Girl Guide Association for a new open unit. That is, 15th West Kowloon Ranger Guide Service Unit.
Most of the members are still St. Marians because of the history. However, more and more girls from different backgrounds are joining to add diversity.
Our Guiders
Mrs Kan was the first Guider who served the unit. She left in 1994 and Ms Virginia Lai came and continued to serve us till 1998. From 1999-2003, two old girls Ms Natalie Lee and Ms Mandy Chu became the Guider-In-Charge and Assistant Guider of the unit. Starting from 2003, old girls Michelle Fong, Olive Ho and Suke Chan have taken over and remain in 15th till now. More old girls are coming back to help as Guiders since then. They are Tiffany Wong (2004), Florence Ng (2004), Baig Raees Begum (2005) and Vivian Chiu (2005).

Our Executive Committee
Every year, our members elect the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is responsible for administrative work, such as holding meetings and functions. The Executive Committee this year, 2009-2010, is:

Our Meetings
Our meetings are held on Fridays, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Hong Kong Girl Guides Association Headquarters (8 Gascoigne Road, Kowloon). Meetings are essential to build friendships between Rangers. Therefore, We normally have 3 meetings a month plus outings like regular services during holidays and weekends.
Our Logo
In 2001, our old girl, Michelle Fong, has designed a logo for 15th Ranger. It is a trefoil with our unit name abbreviated to "15th WKRGSU". The colours echo those used in our uniform. This logo represents 15th Rangers will always remember the Promise and the Law, help each other to become a better citizen, unite to serve the commumity and spread Guiding around the world.
Our Unit Dance
In the year 1997-1998, our 7th Executive Committee fit a dance into the song Edelweiss which became our Unit Dance. The 6 steps, which requires cooperation, assembles unity, harmony and joy. We form a circle when we dance for which we hope to bring happiness and help around.
Edelweiss, Edelweiss. Every morning you greet me. Small and white, clean and bright. You look happy to meet me. Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow. Bloom and grow forever. Edelweiss, Edelweiss. Bless my homeland forever
