How 15 WK RGSU helps me develop?
15 WK RGSU provides opportunities for you to organize activities and manage a group. Hence, it trains your team work, leadership skills, organization skills as well as your Guiding skills. It also lets you try different activities to give you a chance to discover your abilities and interests.
Our Guiders and Executive Committee will conduct briefing and debriefing sessions regularly to help you in different aspects.
When is 15 WK RGSU recruitment?
Usually in late September every year (Interviews will be conducted in Oct after the recruitment day)
Are there any requirements to join 15 WK RGSU?
No. As long as you are a girl aged from 14.5 to 19 and are interested in Girl Guiding, you are welcome to join us.
You do not need to have any Guiding background or Guiding skills. However, due to HQ Guider:Members ratio requirement, we may not be able to take all the people who are interested.
Why an interview is needed?
Interview is a good way to get to know 15 WK RGSU as well as our recruits-to-be. It gives a better idea to our new comers of what Rangers are and our expectations. Also we can understand the potential as well as the goals of each of them.
Is there any fee that I need to pay?
Yes. We collect HK$15 every month from all active members for the expenses to organize general meetings. (e.g. notes, equipments, refreshments)
Each members should also expect to pay the fee for all the HKGGA training courses, international exchanges, outings and other special events that they choose to join. Minimal sponsorship may be available.
I am having my AL/HKCE and do not have time for extracurricular activities. What should I do?
Members who are in Form 5 and Form 7 may submit a letter to Guider-in-charge for their absence during their exam periods. According to 15 WK RGSU constitution, members may not on leave for more then 9 months or else they will be considered as resigned.
On leavers are non-active members and do not carry any vote.
